Pearly Whites for Pets — Training Dog Program Agreement
Thank you for offering your dog as part of our Training Dog Program. Here's exactly what we're agreeing to together — plain and simple.
1. What this is.
Your dog helps our practitioners-in-training practice gentle, all-natural cosmetic teeth cleaning, always one-on-one and always supervised by an experienced practitioner. Your dog is never left unattended and is always with someone experienced in dog handling.
2. The session.
Sessions run a little longer than usual — about two hours — so everything stays calm, gentle, and unhurried. By the end, your dog's teeth are cleaned and their smile beautifully enhanced.
3. It's free.
There is no charge to take part. In appreciation, we simply ask for your dog's help.
4. Your part.
In return for the complimentary cleaning, you agree to make your dog available for training purposes up to four (4) times per year. In practice it's often just once or twice a year — four is the maximum. This continues on an ongoing basis until you let us know you'd like to withdraw, which you can do at any time.
5. Who can take part.
Your dog is under 11 years of age, in good general health, and generally well-behaved, with no history of biting or aggression. Because our trainees are learning, a calm and comfortable dog keeps everyone safe and relaxed.
6. Honesty.
You confirm the information you share about your dog is accurate, including any health concerns. If anything changes, you'll let us know.
7. Photos & video (optional).
With your permission, we may take photos or video of your dog for training and social media. This is entirely optional and up to you.
8. Releasing your dog for the session.
By taking part, you're letting our team clean your dog's teeth alongside a trainee who is learning, always with an experienced practitioner supervising. You understand what this involves and are comfortable with it. Our team looks after your dog with care and keeps them comfortable throughout.
9. Not a veterinary service.
This is a cosmetic and maintenance service focused on your dog's visible smile and comfort. It is not a replacement for regular veterinary check-ups or the oral health services your veterinarian provides. If we ever notice something worth a closer look, we'll gently suggest you check in with your veterinarian.
